The Patchwork Cow is located in the country town of McLaren Vale South Australia, right in the heart of the wine country of the Fleurieu Peninsula, though only 40 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.
Wonderful wineries, restaurants and cafes make this a major tourist destination, with beaches just 10 minutes away.

Linda Haigh is the talented principal of The Patchwork Cow -
"McLaren Vale's own boutique patchwork store is entered via a separate entrance, as the shop and workshop area is a separate dwelling at the rear of our home, only 2 minutes from the main shopping area of town. Turn left at the top of the main street onto Kangarilla Road and we are the second house on the left - look for the flag. I live here with my husband Joel & daughters Molly & Eliza. 10 years ago I became interested in quilting and went to a beginners class and became totally addicted.

Everything else I have learnt has been self taught and I love playing with fabric & threads designing new products.
I began my business by selling The Patchwork Cow designs patterns and kits at fairs and craft shows and also wholesaling to other quilt shops, then opened the store in 2005. I often host quilting groups to morning tea under our large entertaining area while they shop.
Once again we will be holding our biennial 'Quilts in the Garden' exhibition in 2009, following our last successful exhibition showcasing students' work.
Teaching and inspiring others is a great motivation to me to just keep on quilting! There’s always something else to make!

Annual Students Retreat - August 7th - 9th - fully catered (the retreat is open to all students first, extra vacancies will be available)
